Valletta handed Top Prize despite losing to Hibernians

Valletta were today presented with the Championship trophy despite ending up on the losing end in their final match against runners-up Hibernians.  The final match of their campaign ended with a 2-1 score in favour of the Paolites with C. Failla and B.Kristensen scoring for Hibs and M. Mifsud scoring for Valletta. At the end of the match, MFA President Mr. Norman Darmanin Demajo, assisted by BOV C.E.O. Mr. Charles Borg, presented the medals to the members of the Valletta contingent and the coveted League Trophy to captian Gilbert Agius.
