The Malta FA’s Integrity Tour “Say No to Match-Fixing” this time crossed over to Gozo where another educational lecture was held for representatives from all the Gozo Football Association member clubs.  GFA officials felt that it was time to organize an event which would guide its members away from the ever impending dangers of match-fixing at all levels. The Malta FA’s Integrity Officer  Franz Tabone, went about an instructional session highlighting the responsibilities of those involved in football, emphasising the fact, that irrespective whether football matches are on the betting market or not, they are still targeted for match-fixing for different objectives. Participants listened attentively to details of how match-fixing works and the repercussions and sanctions associated with this criminal activity. True story video clips of players caught in match-fixing scams exposed the reality of players who are tempted to fix matches and how the fixers pull the strings of corrupt players and all those involved in manipulated football matches. Gozitan clubs have now been urged to organize a session of the Malta FA Integrity Tour within their own premises where the Integrity Officer would be able to address all their players and officials.
