Luxol St Andrews maintained their perfect start in their Euro Futsal Cup Preliminary Round tournament after beating Macedonian champions KMF Shkupi 9-2 on Thursday night.  The Maltese champions now have two wins from their opening two games after starting their commitments with another emphatic 7-1 victory over hosts FC Diamant Linz on Wednesday. A draw against Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv on Saturday will be enough for St Andrews to become the first Maltese club to qualify for the next stage of the Euro Futsal Club. On Thursday, Celino Alves and Kristjan Grbesa gave Luxol St Andrews an early 2-0 lead. Erkan Seferi narrowed the deficit for Shkupi but goals from Celino, Emil Raducu and Hrvoje Penava put St Andrews 5-1 up at half-time. St Andrews were unstoppable. Nikola Perkovic increased their advantage, Grbesa got his second late on and Zvezdan Vukovic hit a brace to complete a 9-2 victory for the Saints who became the first Maltese team to win two games in the preliminary round of the Euro Futsal Cup. Dragan Peteovic scored Shkupi’s second goal in the second half. Luxol St Andrews lead Group C with six ponts, KMF Shkupi 1927 and Maccabi Tel Aviv have three and FC Diamant Linz are still without a point.
