A sizzling start to the football season is expected when BOV Champions Birkirkara will face U*BET FA Trophy holders Hibernians in what should be another classic between two of Malta’s top teams  A contest between these two sides is bound to re-evoke the exciting tussle we had between these two protagonists of Maltese football last season. The climax was the Premier League decider when the Stripes of Birkirkara recovered from a goal down to beat the Paolites 3-1. The match will be the third Super Cup final between the two teams, with Birkirkara emerging winners on the previous two occasions. The Yellow-Reds’s pedigree in the Super cup shows five wins from ten finals, with the Peacocks striking success twice from nine appearances in this final. Will it be a sixth victory for Birkirkara, or a third one for Hibernians? The match on Wednesday 7th August will provide the answer.     In the meantime the Malta Football Association has announced that the stand allocations for fans of the respective teams will be as follows; B'Kara   -   West Stand AHibernians   -   West Stand CMillennium, North and South Stands will be closed The match will kick-off at 8pm and the stadium gates will open at 7pm.
