UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE APPOINTMENTS FOR MALTESE OFFICIALS

UEFA has appointed FIFA Referee Marco Borg for the Europa League 1st Qualifying Round 1st Leg match being played tomorrow between FK Željezničar (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and FK Lovćen (Montenegro) in Asim Ferhatović Hase Stadion, Sarajevo.    The Malta FA has appointed FIFA Assistant Referees Edward Spiteri and Christopher Francalanza,and 4th Official Sandro Spiteri.  This will be Sandro Spiteri’s debut in a UEFA match.  The Maltese match officials will be assessed by UEFA Referee Observer John Ward from the Republic of Ireland. UEFA has also announced Europa League 1st Qualifying Round 1st Leg appointments for Maltese Referee Observers Charles Agius and Victor Mintoff. Tomorrow Charles Agius will be the referee observerat the FK Čukarički (Serbia) vs UE Sant Julià (Andorra) match in FK CukarickiStadium, Belgrade, while Victor Mintoff will be the referee observerat the SS Folgore/Falciano (San Marino) vs FK Budućnost Podgorica (Montenegro) in Stadio Olimpico, Serravalle.
