Malta Under 17s hold on to well deserved draw

Malta's Under 17 side held on to a well deserved 1-1 draw after a bright start in their second match from the Under 17 Hungarian International Tournament The maltese side played a very good first half during which they creating good goal scoring chances. After Malta deservedly  took the lead through Aidan Friggieri, Rep of Ireland pushed forward and increased their tempo. The Maltese players held their ground and shook off the Irish challenges. In the second half Malta could have doubled the score but Zach Brincat's shot came of the post on the 44th minute. The Irish pushed hard for an equiliser but were denied by the good organised Maltese defence until Conor Livingstone scored for the Irish to level things up, With seven minutes remaining.
