Following yesterday's narrow and unlucky defeat against Slovakia, the Malta national team is now undergoing a two day training camp in Senec, ahead of the first EURO 2016 Qualifier. All the players are focused and determined to do well in their first outing against Croatia which is scheduled to be played in Zagreb on Tuesday evening. Pietro Ghedin fielded a balanced and experienced starting line-up in yesterday's match but then went on to make use of six substitutions including giving two debuts to defender Zach Muscat and midfielder Ryan Scicluna. The squad will leave for Zagreb on Sunday. Malta will face Croatia at the Maximir Stadium in Zagreb on Tuesday 9th September @ 20,45hrs. The two teams have so far met on six other occasions with Malta managing only one draw. A 1-1 result on 7th Sept 2005 at the National Stadium, Ta' Qali.
