The Malta Women National Team was defeated 5-0 against the strength of group winners Switzerland in their last encounter of Group 3, valid for the qualification of the Women's World Cup in Canada next year. This was the last game in this competition and unfortunately, Malta finished bottom of the group.

Our players always played with great motivation against teams who are top ranked in European Women Football having most of their players playing for famous women football professional clubs.
