Gudja United and Msida St. Joseph are the maximum points from two matches in the BOV First Division. After beating Birzebbuga St. Peter's 4-0 in their first outing, Gudja defeated Mqabba 5-1. Msida, on the other hand, registered another 2-1 win, this time against Melita.

Gzira United lie in third place, two points behind the leaders after being held in a draw by Rabat while Vittoriosa and Zurrieq registered their first win to join Lija, Melita, Mqabba and St. George's on the three-point mark.
