UEFA Elite Youth A Diploma course - 2014

 Seventeen candidates have just successfully completed the first UEFA Elite Youth A Diploma course. The course was accredited to MFA Technical Centre by the UEFA Jira Panel and evaluated by its assessor Mr. Nico Romeijn of the Dutch FA.  During the course the candidates prepared various match analysis sessions after watching  several matches from the UEFA U/17 European Championship Finals held in Malta during the month of May. They also had a video conferencing session with Mr. Pat Bonner of the Irish FA another Jira Panel Expert. The course was highly intensive and apart from preparing training sessions, Youth Development policies and physical training programmes the candidates had to undergo two practical assessments before achieving the Final pass mark. This was the first course without a Final Exam but highly intensive course work. The successful coaches hail from Premier Div, Nursery Head Coaches and National Teams’ coaches.  A New CYF course The MFA Technical Centre has just opened its’ new Coaching courses season by launching a new CYF course for season 2014/15. As from this season this course is being upgraded as to include a further certificate in Coerver coaching skills level1. Twenty-seven candidates are attending for this course which is the first introductory course to open the pathway to other coaching courses for prospective coaches who would like to follow a coaching career. This course prepares candidates to coach children from the ages of 5 to 9 years old. Topics include  Child developemnt and relationships, Multilateral Education, Grassroots football and Basic goalkeeping. The course comes to an end on the 7th October and every candidate who achieves 95% attendance would be awarded an attendance certificate. This certificate is a prerequiste for the National C Course.
