The first girls’ schools football festival of the 2014-15 season under the auspices of the MFA Technical Centre was held on the 18th November at the San Anton School with the participation of 10 schools which comprised 12 teams and a total of over 100 young footballers, aged between eight and ten years.

Ten schools were represented on this first day of the festival. They were San Anton, San Andrea, St Martin’s, St Catherine’s, Theresa Nuzzo, Fgura Primary School, St Monica Gżira, St. Paul’s Bay Primary School, St. Joan Antide and Chiswick House School. Each school team was under the guidance of their PE teachers.

The event was very enjoyable, with the youngsters indulging in keen competition within a fun environment. During the festival, San Anton Head Master was presented by the National Team coach Pierre Brincat, with footballs for the school’ use in recognition of San Anton School support in hosting the festival in its pitches.
