PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC COVER SCHEME OFFERED TO OTHER SPORTS ORGANISATIONS

As part of its expanding operations to cater for a wide cross section of football clubs, sports organisations, corporate clients, insurance brokers and individual clients at its new physiotherapy clinic, the MFA today invited the media and representatives from more than 20 of the leading sports associations for a meeting and a pre-opening tour.  This in view of MFA's  intentions to extend its long existing Member Clubs' Clinic Cover Scheme, which offers preferential packages on its already advantageous rates, to other sports and corporate organisations. The clinic, previously located in another part also within the confines of the National Stadium, will now provide a wider range of services run by professional personnel who will oversee various available testing facilities in the way of health care in more modern and spacious surroundings. Among the new services offered there will be Electro Cardiogram (ECG) tests and a Dedicated Limb & Joint MRI scanning facility, as well as a rehabilitation area within the clinic's own presincts.  The association is looking at providing its clients with the best health-checking services within its state of the art clinic which is easily accessible on Level 2 of the Millennium Stand, National Stadium, Ta’ Qali. The new clinic will open between 8.30 and 19.30 from Monday to Friday and from 8.30 to 12.30 on Saturdays. The services are available by appointment with the sports doctor for Sports Medical Consultations and will include the following:1.    BIODEX (Isokinetic or Isometric functional testing & assessments)2.    Clinic physiotherapy sessions3.    TECAR therapy4.    Sports specific rehabilitation, including gym-based and field-based training (particularly in the rehabilitation post-surgery or major injury)5.    Diagnostic Ultrasound for muscular injuries6.    Sports  injury prevention training7.    Sports Massage8.    Sports Taping  Further information can be obtained by calling on Tel.
