Pietro Ghedin, Malta National Coach, said this morning in a press conference that his players will try to find their best condition against Georgia and three days before the Euro Qualifier match against Azerbaijan in Baku. Ghedin was answering to the questions set by the press at a press conference organised this morning in Tbilisi, one day before the match. Malta will play Georgia tomorrow evening at 6.00pm local time in the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in Tbilisi. The contingent will travel to Baku, on Thursday and will play a Euro Group Qualifier match against Azerbaijan Saturday evening. The national A team left Luqa Airport on Monday 23rd March heading for Georgia for its first encounter of the week. The team landed in Tbilisi early in the morning after 15 hours of travelling to get to destination. In the morning the players rested to recharge in time for the training session in the evening. With the sun shining and the temperature at 13 degrees the team set out for its first training session in Georgia at the Michael Meskhi Stadium. Training was led by Luca Pagani who focused on the athletic part. At the Press Conference which had a good attendance by the Georgian Press, Pietro Ghedin said that we are still recovering from the travelling and that we are still a little bit tired. He is hoping that tomorrow (match day) we will be better physically and in this friendly match we will do our best like always. Ghedin spoke positively about Georgia saying "they are a strong team and from what we saw in the latest matches they are a very good compact team" whilst he reiterated that "our condition is a bit down but we will give our best". Ghedin said, "It is very important game for us but we need to see the conditions of our players as we have four players not fully fit. We will also have to think about our match against Azerbaijan. We will try and find the best condition in this match to try and play our style of game and I hope to recover all my players." Both matches will be broadcasted live on TVM 2. CLICK HERE for  Ghedin's  comments  (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = //connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.0; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));Post by Malta Football Association - 1900.
