Utulu appointed for Mediterranean Beach Games

 After participating in the Euro Beach Soccer League (EBSL) 2015 Super Final & Promotion Final in Parnü (Estonia), FIFA Beach Soccer referee Jude Amin Utulu has been invited to the FIFA Beach Soccer Referees Course and has also been designated by BSWW as referee during the Mediterranean Beach Games Pescara 2015.  Six years since hosting the XVI edition of the Mediterranean Games in 2009, the city of Pescara will host the first edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games. This follows the decision made during the International Committee of Mediterranean Games(ICMG) Executive Committee meeting of 20th October 2012 in Mersin, Turkey, to organise the Mediterranean Beach Games every four years; the designation of the host city was made during the ICMG General Assembly held in Mersin, Turkey, on the 18th of June 2013. These Games concern solely water sports and beach sports aiming at bringing together young athletes of the Mediterranean, giving them the opportunity to participate in more sporting events, and attracting the elite in the relevant disciplines. The Beach Soccer Competition will begin on the 2ndof September and end on the 6th to coincide with the closing ceremony.  It will be played at Pescara’s Arena del Mare on the Eastern Italian coastline. Italy is fresh off a fourth place finish in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 and they have been drawn in Group Awith Lebanon, Algeria, and Tunisia; one of the top African sides, Morocco, heads Group B with Egypt, Syria, and Malta; while in Group C one finds two European rivals France and Greece, who will have to face Libya and Albania. These groups will finally lead to classify teams from 1st to 8th place. The competition will be under the auspices of the Federazione Nazionale Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
