GOAL CARD BASED ON MODERN MARKETING CONCEPTSThe latest initiative by the Malta Football Association through the launching of the Goal Card as a block ticket for Malta’s five Group B qualifying matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil has been based on sound marketing concepts adopted nowadays in different countries. The principle of supply an...d demand has been in the forefront when establishing the prices of block tickets in different sectors of the National Stadium as against those of single match day tickets.   The Association also had in mind to encourage as many Maltese as possible to attend all the five matches and support Malta, also ensuring that those purchasing the Card will have a ticket reserved for the plum match against Italy on 26 March 2013. It has based this initiative also on the fact that there will be a very heavy demand for the Malta-Italy match for which less than 13,000 seats will be available for the Maltese spectators. With this in view, the association’s Marketing Department hopes it will offer the Maltese a very good opportunity to guarantee them a seat for the said match, while also giving them a chance to watch other attractive national teams such as the Czech Republic and Denmark, two Euro 2012 finalists. This, above all, will help in giving the full backing to our national team at all matches. The MFA notes with satisfaction that there seems to be a general consensus in favour of the block ticket concept and the many advantages it offers. Apart from being a transferable card, recipients of this block access card will also be eligible to win various attractive prizes. Hence the encouraging indications at the start of sales. As for the Goal Card for children in the South Stand the association has an open mind and is considering working on a solution or compromise. The idea behind such a loyalty card is to set in motion a scheme which rewards the faithful and hard core supporters of our national team by guaranteeing them a seat even when the demand is extremely heavy as in the case of certain matches. The MFA also has plans in mind with regards to single match-day tickets, and other incentives will be on offer when it comes to Ticket Pre-Sales.The association takes this opportunity to thank the SEC for their contribution to the cause of the national teams’ support and for their promotion campaigns. The MFA would like to set the minds of our hard core fans at rest that similar initiatives are all for the benefit of the supporters as well as to ensure sound backing for our national team. A case in point were the initiatives when tickets were issued at a reduced price to regular stadium goers, for the Euro 2012 match against Greece. And the Euro 2012 Qualifier against Latvia, when the South Stand was offered on an Open Gates basis. With the introduction of the Goal Card a new initiative in modern sports marketing principles has been established. The ball in this field has been set rolling. In this respect the MFA urges the true Maltese football followers to apply for their Goal Card as early as possible and thus avoid disappointment.APPLY NOW FOR YOUR GOAL CARD http://www.mfa.com.mt/en/news/news/176/goal-card-launched.htm
