This weekend 25 participants hailing from various clubs started the first UEFA B course for this season. These candidates will follow a course of The Oretical and Practical sessions for the next six months through which they’ll be prepared for the modern game. On achieving this coaching grade they’ll be able to coach all youth teams and according to present regulations even up to 1st Division. Yet most of all they’ll be put on the pathway for other higher level UEFA courses. On the same note, at the beginning of October, the Technical Centre launched a National C course being attended by 40 participants 12 of whom hail from Gozo. This could be organised through the great relations between the Technical centre and the Gozo FA. This course is also being attended by no fewer than six National and ex National team players. All this raises the bar for the Maltese game as these are the coaches of our future football.’
