Valletta defeated eternal rivals Floriana 3-1 to stay in second place two points behind leaders Balzan who registered a 2-0 win over St. Andrews in a top-bottom clash.


Birkirkara came from behind to beat Sliema Wanderers 3-1 while Hibernians struggled more than expected to beat Qormi 2-1.

 

Naxxar Lions claimed their first points as they defeated Mosta 2-0 in the derby while Tarxien Rainbows came from behind to beat Pembroke Athleta 2-1.
