As the domestic leagues have ended with Hibernians winning their 12th championship of their history and Gozo clinching promotion to the first tier, all attention will be shifted on the domestic cup as four teams will be battling out to earn a place in next week's final. The champions of both the First and Second Division will be meeting each other in the first semi-final while in the following encounter, Mgarr United will face Raiders (Luxol) in an all-First Division clash.

Hibernians FC vs Gozo FC:

The newly-crowned champions of the First Division, Hibernians, are on course for their second consecutive domestic cup which would mean a second consecutive double for the Paolites, and also a second consecutive treble if you include the Super Cup which is the annual curtain raiser of  every new season. Hibernians had their feet on the gas pedal throughout the whole campaign as they scored a staggering 70 goals, conceding only 11 in 20 matches. In the previous round, Hibernians have eliminated Birkirkara after the extra-time to clinch a semi-final berth.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Gozo will be striving to cause an upset and prolongue their cup run which started back in December when they netted five past Mosta in the first round. In the following round, they qualified comfortably over Sliema Wanderers as they rout them 6-2. Just like Hibernians, Gozo have also been on a terrific form when it comes to goals as they reached the tally of 90 goals in 18 matches, letting in only 13 goals. This will serve as an important test for the Gozitans ahead of next season where they will be facing Hibernians on more than one occasion.

Mgarr United FC vs Raiders (Luxol):

After finishing third, 11 points distant from Birkirkara, Mgarr United will be targeting this trophy as an important stage to showcase their qualities and aim to end their season on a high. Mgarr met Raiders four times this season, with the Greens emerging victorious three times while they ended at 1-1 on the first encounter. Mgarr qualified from the first and second round with the identical score of 6-0 against Swieqi United and Pembroke Athleta respectively.

On the other hand, Raiders (Luxol) will be aiming to secure a place in the final for the second consecutive season while also shifting the spotlight on their cup result rather on their league classification, despite the late upsets against Hibernians and Birkirkara respectively where they managed to obtain four points. Raiders saw off Kirkop United in the previous round by four goals to nil to set up a promising semi-final encounter against Mgarr.
