Paul Zammit Cutajar named Sports Photographer of the Year at IGM Awards

 Paul Zammit Cutajar was named as the Sports Photographer of the Year at the IGM Awards night held over the weekend.  Paul Zammit Cutajar needs no introduction as a photographer of quality. He is an MFA staff photographer and his various football action photos during past years have earned praise and prestigious photographic awards. the third award in four years for Paul at the IGM annual event Talking to www.mfa.com.mt Paul said "It takes more than one person to carry an award.Credit to my colleagues who spend long hours, season over season, against the elements to bring beautiful pictures to Sports that we love so much.Andrew Grima, Joe Borg, Tonio Magro, Christine Borg Dominic Borg, Trevor Sollars, Donald Caruana, Ray Attard, Matthew Mirabelli, Darrin Zammit-Lupi,Steve Zammit Lupi, Mark Zammit Cordina (finalist),Zigli Jonathan Borg, Steven Gatt, Chris Sant Fournier, and the few that I can only know through face recognition, Sports Photography thank you all.A very special mention goes out to my MFA colleague, Domenic Aquilina (finalist), from whom I learnt much over the years. Celebration UEFA Champions League Final 2015, Olympiastadion, Berlin Barcelona got the better of Juventus winning the UEFA Champions League Cup for the fifth time. Players and staff celebrate the Barcelona win by giving the traditional ‘bumps’ to Manager Louis Enrique.There are small snippets going on, like Messi (lower left) chuckling to himself.In the foreground a duty UEFA official showsa boy away who should not been there.But most of all, the look on Enrique’s is priceless.  2. Let’s Dance UEFA Champions League Final 2015, Olympiastadion, BerlinStephan Lichtsteiner of Juventus and Luis Suarez of Barcelona clash in mid-air during the UEFA Champions League Final. Saying that Suarez, in his usual style, made a meal of it, is an understatement.  3 Powerhouse One of our waterloo stalwarts, better known as Matthew ‘Xellugi’ Zammit executes a powerful backhand during the Valletta WPC vs Digi Oradea match.
