National Stadium pitch handover

The day of the 24th of August 2016, will be remembered by the Malta Football Association and all the football enthusiasts as the day in which the National Stadium pitch was handed over to the MFA staff to take care off for the coming years.  SIS Grass were chosen by the Malta FA some weeks a go to start a new project on the National Stadium pitch surface, which project ended today. The first match on this new surface will be played on the 4th of September, when Malta will be hosting Scotland in the first match of the World Cup Group F Qualifier for Russia 2018. A press conference was held this morning at the National Stadium Hall, Level 0, in which Bjorn Vassallo, the MFA General Secretary, together with George Mullan, CEO of SIS Group, gave their views about the new pitch to the local media. They were assisted by Carlos Reis, SIS Group Director Natural Grass Projects and Emanuel Cassar, MFA Head of Infrastructural projects.  A tour for the first time all those present followed after the press conference.
