National players Roderick Briffa and Andrei Agius, tested the new pitch surface, this morning. Both players were invited by the MFA and SIS Group to run and make some ball movement after the National Stadium pitch was given back to the Association. This was announced yesterday at a press conference held by the MFA. Manuel Cassar, Head of Infrastructural Projects of the MFA together with other representatives from SIS Group accompanied Briffa and Agius. Both players will play their first match on Sunday 4th September with the Malta national squad who will be facing Scotland in the first match of Group F Russia 2018 Qualifying group.
