BOV Women's 1st Div
BOV Women's 2nd Div

Both BOV Women’s First and Second Division Leagues will return in action this week, following the international break which saw protagonist our WNT U-17, who managed to leave Greece with a victory in their first ever participation at the 2017 UEFA Women’s U-17 European Championship Qualifications.

Mgarr United and Gozo will be the first match on the programme, with both teams targeting this match as an opportunity to take the first three points of the season, as both sides have only one points after their first couple of outings.

The other match for this evening from this division will be between title challengers Birkirkara and Raiders (Luxol). The Stripes have the opportunity to climb up in the top of the league, at least for 24 hours before leaders Hibernians will be in action on Wednesday. On the other side, Raiders have taken only one point after their two matches, and undoubtedly, a match of this kind automatically motivates them to perform well and even strive to take at least a point.

Leaders Hibernians will be in action on Wednesday, when they cross swords with Kirkop United. The Paolites have won both matches and are leading the table with maximum points Meanwhile, Kirkop have three points, having won in of their recent outings and will up for the challenge against one of the best teams on the island.

BOV Women’s Second Division

Also, the BOV Women’s Second Division will return in action with two matches. In the first one scheduled, Hamrun Spartans and Tarxien Rainbows will take on each other. The Spartans need to take something from this match, if they don’t want to remain anchored with zero points, but it won’t be a comfortable task, as the Rainbows are joint-top leaders with Mosta at four points.

In the second match, Kirkop United Team B will cross swords with Swieqi United. The former have lost the only encounter they played this season, while Swieqi started their campaign with a bang, hitting eight goals in their first outing.
