Matchday 4 from the women’s top tier commenced last Sunday, as Kirkop United registered their second victory of the season, following their 2-1 victory against Gozo, reaching a tally of six points, leaving Gozo, Raiders (Luxol) and also Mgarr United behind them, with one game extra.   Both Raiders (Luxol) and Mgarr United will cross swords with each other, with the former striving to register their first three points of the campaign, while Mgarr will aim to keep track of both Hibernians and Birkirkara. The First Division’s schedule for this week will end with the classic duel between Hibernians and Birkirkara. The Paolites are currently leading the league with nine points while the Stripes are chasing them at seven points. A victory for either side can be fundamental for their title aspirations. BOV Women’s Second Division Kirkop United Team B and Hamrun Spartans will be facing each other in a delicate encounter, which sees both sides without any points after their first two and three respective outings, creating an important scenario for this match as both would like to get their first points as quickly as possible. In the other fixture, goal-machine Swieqi United will be meeting with Mosta. Swieqi have obtained two wins from their first two matches while Mosta took four points from their first couple of ties. For more details and information about the matches from the BOV Women’s Leagues, we invite you to like and follow our Facebook’s official page, MFA Women’s Football.
