BOV Women's 2nd Div

The second round from both the BOV Women’s First and Second Division will resume this week following last week’s international break, which witnessed Malta WNT’s double win over Andorra WNT.

BOV Women’s First Division

Leaders Birkirkara will be in action this evening, as they take on Raiders (Luxol). The Stripes will be targeting the three points from this fixture, with the aim of extending the lead to seven points above Hibernians, at least for 24 hours. On the other hand, Raiders are still struggling in this division, as they have collected just four points from their previous seven encounters.
In the other match of the week, holders Hibernians will be crossing swords with Kirkop United. The Paolites emerged losers from their previous encounter, against Mgarr United and they do not afford to leave more points on the road if they want to defend successfully their championship. Meanwhile, their opponents have been doing well this season and with nine points under their belt, they could reduce the gap to just three point behind Hibernians, if they take all three points in the direct encounter.

BOV Women’s Second Division
After a bright start to the season, Tarxien Rainbows have been on a decline lately and to keep their promotion hopes alive, they need to collect all three points against Hamrun Spartans. On the other hand, the Spartans have only gained three points from the opening fixtures of the season and are striving to turn the tables.
Swieqi United against Kirkop United Team B will be the other fixture of the evening. Leaders Swieqi have the opportunity to extend their unbeaten streak and take a major step towards the title, while Kirkop United will hope to cause an upset, following their first victory ever, earned against Tarxien Rainbows.
