All teams from the BOV Women’s First and Second Division will be in action this week, in the last programme for 2016, prior to next week’s start of the domestic cup with six teams in action in the first round.

 BOV Women’s First Division

Kirkop United against Gozo will kickstart Matchday 9 of the top tier, with both teams striving to take maximum points from this match. Kirkop will be emboldened by the presence of Estonian International Liis Pello, who has been announced as player of the month for November. On the other hand, Gozo need to start getting points as quickly as possible if they want to avoid a rapid descending into the second tier – (@1800, Mgarr ground)

In the second match of the evening, Mgarr United will be hosting Raiders (Luxol). Mgarr have been achieving positive results lately, and for sure will be up for the task against strugglers Raiders. Meanwhile, the latter are in the midst of a battle against Gozo, in the interest of salvage their status quo and any points in this fixture, would be more than welcome – (@2015, Mgarr ground)

On Wednesday evening, leaders Birkirkara will take on their eternal rivals Hibernians in the never-ending duel. This time around though, the Stripes will be playing as leaders of the league while the Paolites, will be fulfilling the role as chasers. An intriguing match which promises to be spectacular and despite we are still in the second round, it can have valuable weight on both teams’ fate for the rest of the campaign – (@2015, Mosta ground)

 BOV Women’s Second Division

The second division will put up for us another mouth-watering contest, as leaders Swieqi United will cross swords with second place Mosta. After the first six outings, Swieqi are leading the second division with 18 points while Mosta are chasing them at second place, with 13 points. Any result will be determinant in the course of the title and promotion race – (@2015, Mosta ground)

Hamrun Spartans against Kirkop United Team B is the second match in programme for the Second Division. Hamrun are currently sitting in the penultimate spot with six points and they will be targeting the three points in this encounter, to leave Kirkop behind them at three points while playing their last throw of the dice in the promotion race – (@2015, Zebbug ground)
