The Protests Board of the Malta Football Association has turned down the protest filed by Hibernians FC against the result of their BOV Premier League match against Ħamrun Spartans FC. The match, played on February 25, 2017 at the National Stadium, ended in a 3-3 draw. In their protest, Hibernians FC challenged the eligibility of Ħamrun Spartans FC goalkeeper Batusila Kambala but the MFA Protests Board rejected their claim at a hearing held on Thursday. The MFA Protests Board’s ruling means that the result of Hibernians-Ħamrun Spartans game, played on February 25, is to stand.
