Holders Hibs to face Stripes in women's KO semis

Holders Hibernians booked their place in the semi-finals of the women’s Knock-Out after powering past Raiders, beating them 6-1.  Dorianne Theuma grabbed a hat-trick while Dionne Tonna, Ruth Steer Chetham and Ylenia Carabott were also on the scoresheet as Hibs set up a semi-final clash with rivals Birkirkara. Lynn Fenech scored Raiders’ consolation.Division One side Kirkop United cruised into the semi-finals after defeating Swieqi United by three goals to nil. Youngster Demi Magrin was the hero for the Reds as she netted a hat-trick. Mġarr United also clinched a place in the last four after a comprehensive 9-0 victory over Division Two side Ħamrun Spartans.Brenda Borg helped herself to three goals while Rebecca Vella and Claudette Xuereb had two each. Tasha Pace and Jasmine Vella Turner completed the scoring. Division One leaders Birkirkara also enjoyed a comfortable passage to the semi-finals after beating Mosta 5-0 in the quarter-finals to keep their league and cup double hopes alive. Alishia Sultana notched four goals with Kim Parnis scoring the other one for Birkirkara who will face Hibernians for a place in the final. SEMI-FINALS (May 2)Birkirkara vs Hibernians; Mġarr United vs Kirkop United
