LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION MEETS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ON VISIT TO MFA

Leader of the Opposition Dr. Joseph Muscat  was today's distinguished visitor at the Malta Football Association Headquarters at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium Complex.


 

 

 

Dr. Muscat was welcomed by the Association’s President Norman Darmanin Demajo, besides other officials, prior to meeting the members of the Executive Committee.  

 

 

He was accompanied by the opposition's main speaker for Youth & Sport Mr. Chris Agius and Partit Laburista Chief Executive Officer Mr. James Piscopo.

 

The PL delegation met  the association's Executive Committee members where views as to the plans of the association aimed at ensuring progress in all sectors of the game in our country, were exchanged in a cordial and positive meeting.

 

Dr. Muscat showed showed his willingness to listen to the views of the officials and re-asserted his and his Party's intentions to assist the association in its unstinted work for the benefit of Maltese football.

 

During the meeting various areas of the game which fall under the jurisdiction of the MFA were monitored with a view to opening up new horizons and thus achieving more progress.

 

At the end of the meeting Dr Muscat, himself an avid follower of football, was presented with the Malta national team shirt which is being worn by our players during the FIFA 2014 World Cup group qualifying matches.
