Malta FA Executive Committee for season 2018-19

Joe Sammut and Paul Falzon have secured the final two seats on the Malta FA Executive Committee after polling the highest number of votes in the only election held during today’s Annual General Meeting at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.  Sammut and Falzon will be representing the member clubs in general, thus retaining their places on the Exco, after obtaining 81 and 48 votes respectively. The other two candidates in this election were Dr Ian Micallef, of Gżira United, and Paul Spiteri, of Valletta FC, who collected 38 and 45 votes respectively. The remaining 12 members of the Exco were uncontested. The representatives of the clubs in each of the four divisions were chosen following a vote among the members of the respective standing committees. The other members of the MFA Exco are the Association’s top officials, namely (President) Norman Darmanin Demajo, (General Secretary) Dr Angelo Chetcuti, (Vice-Presidents) Ludovico Micallef, Alex Manfrẻ and Dr Matthew Paris, and Ivan Mizzi, (Treasurer). The elected candidates are: Premier Division (two vacancies)George Galea; Mario Debono. First Division (two vacancies)Dr Peter Fenech; Laurence Seychell Second Division (two vacancies)Dr Marc Sant; Michael Cutajar Third Division (two vacancies)Raymond Micallef; Dr Cory Greenland Member clubs in general (two vacancies)Paul Falzon; Joe Sammut Youth FA (one vacancy)Joe Micallef Gozo FA (one vacancy)Samuel Azzopardi Member Associations (two vacancies)Lino Bartolo; Lawrence Aquilina
