Malta make it FIVE VICTORIES in a row in Friendly Matches
Published: 14-11-2012 22:55The Malta National team has re-written the history books by beating Liechtenstein in Vaduz to register the fifth consecutive victory and the seventh consecutive positive result in international friendly matches.
Malta beat Liechtenstein by a solitary goal scored by defender Jonathan Caruana following some slack defending by the Liechtenstein rear guard in a 39th minute corner. With captain Michael Mifsud, Daniel Bogdanovic and Steve Borg out of action, coach Pietro Ghedin introduced young striker Terence Vella, while defenders Jonathan Caruana and Clayton Failla and keeper Justin Haber , marked their return.
