Malta FA saddened by passing of Henry Calleja

The Malta Football Association is saddened by the news that veteran sports journalist Henry Calleja has passed away.  Henry Calleja has made a sterling contribution to local sports, especially football, through his work in the local sports media during a career spanning several decades. Besides his work as a sports journalist, football commentator and presenter of sports programmes on television, Calleja is also a founding member of the Malta Sports Journalists Association (formerly Sports Writers Association) where he served as president between 1987 and 2003. His passing is a loss for the Maltese sports community. The Malta Football Association sends its profound condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Calleja during this difficult time.
