2 – Birkirkara’s newly-signed Brazilian forward Jorge Pereira da Silva scored his second goal of the season... both against Pietà Hotspurs, with two different teams (the other for Gżira United) and both at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
 


10 – Tarxien Rainbows vs St Andrews (2-1) was the 10th match officiated by referee Eman Grech this season.

 

20 – Last weekend a total of 20 goals were scored – only Mosta and Pietà Hotspurs failed to find the target. The average age of the scorers (19) on matchday 15 of the 2018-19 BOV Premier League was 25.83.

 

40 – The 3-1 win over Qormi was the 40th game of Marko Micovic in charge of Balzan (excluding matches when coach was serving touchline ban). The Serbian coach made his debut on 19th August, 2017. His record reads – 24 wins, nine draws and seven defeats.

 

40 – The penalty converted by Argentinian forward Miguel Angel Alba in the 2-1 victory over Hibernians was the 40th goal scored by a foreign player for champions Valletta this season.

 

45 – The inclusion of Austrian midfielder Marco Sahanek during Hibernians’ 2-1 defeat against Valletta took the number of different nationalities to 45 in this season’s BOV Premier League.

 

100 – Ħamrun Spartans-Gżira United (1-1) was the 100th match of the season. Debutant Gianmarco Conti saved the day for the Maroons with a stoppage-time equaliser... co-incidentally it was also the 100th goal at the National Stadium.

 

150 – Ħamrun Spartans goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo has played his 150th match in the top flight, representing eight different clubs, the others being Msida St Joseph, Birkirkara, Floriana, Valletta, Balzan, Żebbug Rangers and Mosta.

 

200 – Argentinian midfielder Matias Nicolas Garcia has scored the 200th goal by foreign players this season in Senglea’s 3-0 victory over Mosta.

 

200 – The yellow card given to Daniel Zerafa, during Tarxien Rainbows' 2-1 win over St Andrew’s,

was the 200th booking for Maltese players 

 

260 – Balzan’s 3-1 over Qormi was their 260th match in the BOV Premier League.

 

880 – Valletta’s 2-1 victory over Hibernians was their 880th in the top flight.

 

1,350 – Eight outfield players have played all the 1,350 minutes after the 15th day of the 2018-19 BOV Premier League. These are Eduardo Ferreira (Birkirkara), Rodolfo Soares (Gżira United), Enrico Pepe and Matthew Gauci (Ħamrun Spartans), Andrei Agius (Hibernians), Massimo Sammartino (Mosta), Christian Grech (Pietà Hotspurs) and Davide Mansi (Qormi).

 

35,460 – 35,460 days (97 years and 1 month) have passed since the first 1-1 draw recorded between arch rivals Floriana and Sliema Wanderers. The game was played on 18th December, 1921, at The Mile End. Frankie Busuttil (penalty) put the Wanderers ahead but Salvu Tabone (free-kick) equalised for the Greens.
