ARRIGO SACCHI ADDRESSES MALTESE MEDIA AND CONDUCTS ONE-DAY SEMINAR

Former Italy national team and Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi, was in Malta on the 27th and 28th November 2012 to conduct a seminar for UEFA ‘A’ Licensed, Premier and First Division coaches.   Sacchi, currently Youth Sector Co-ordinator at the FIGC was assisted by Maurizio Viscidi. They also addressed the Maltese media. Speaking at the Press Conference, Sacchi said he was honoured to be in Malta as guest of Malta Football Association which is closely associated with the Italian Football Federation. He explained his role at the FIGC where together with Mr. Viscidi work closely with Under-21 team coach Devis Mangia and are also in liaison with the coaches of the Italian National youth teams going down to the Under-15’s. Mr Sacchi discussed in length with all the participants  "How Football will be in the Future" He stressed the great importance of football being played as a team  ie  the importance of Total Football.  Viscidi spoke and showed videos about how national coaches of various Italian representative teams work with their squads. As part of the seminar, later in the afternoon at the Centenary Stadium, Mr Viscidi conducted a demonstrative practical session with the Under 17 National Team   players, focusing on playing as a team. Both speakers interacted with all the participants answering various questions in what was a very successful one-day seminar.
