The Malta Football Association communicates that Valletta FC Futsal, as announced by their club committee in a statement issued earlier in the day, did not turn up for the Elite Futsal League match against Luxol St Andrews FC Futsal, due to have been played on Friday evening at the Corradino Sports Pavilion.
The Malta FA regrets the fact that this eagerly-awaited match has not gone ahead as scheduled. While the course of events was unfortunate, the Association reiterates the importance of respecting the competition rules and regulations. “We are extremely disappointed that the fixture between Luxol St Andrews Futsal and Valletta FC Futsal has not taken place as planned,” Dr Matthew Paris, the Malta FA Vice-President who oversees the futsal sector, said. “The matter will now be referred to the relevant board but in the meantime, we intend to pursue further discussions with the all the parties concerned to try and move on from this episode.”
