On Tuesday at 5pm local time, 3pm Malta time the Under21 Team take on Kosovo in second friendly match in Antalya. During this hectic training camp in Turkey the Malta U21 Team endured some dazzling weather conditions for football, a healthy work-out conducted by coach Silvio Vella and his technical staff that will hopefully reap the rewards at a later stage, but will definitely help the boys to pursue in their development and keep raising their standards. Silvio Vella spoke to mfa.com.mt on the eve of the Kosovo friendly. A dynamic side who is improving all the time, a team who kept Germany in a goalless draw in their last competition and also obtained a hard fought 3-2 win over Turkmenistan on Sunday here in Turkey. Silvio Vella said, “Kosovo is a completely different story from Turkmenistan, lately they have made huge steps forward, hence we have to be at our best against Tuesday’s opposition. “European sides are always strong at this level, some days ago Finland who are in our same Group 8 in next competition scored eight against Norway, so we all know we have to work hard, avoid mistakes, stay focused and believe in ourselves. Meanwhile the Malta U21 Team sustained one last training session on Monday afternoon prior to Tuesday’s match against Kosovo, with all 20 players in the squad all looking sharp and in good spirit on the eve of this second friendly international, and towards the end of this tireless training camp here in Turkey, before heading back home on Wednesday afternoon.
