Birkirkara girls start title defence against Hibernians

Birkirkara will launch the defence of their BOV Women’s League title against traditional rivals Hibernians. The draw of the fixture sequence of the 2019/20 BOV Women’s League was held on Monday afternoon at the Malta FA offices. Mġarr United, runners-up last season, kick off against Kirkop United while Swieqi United meet Raiders Għargħur in the opening programme. Mosta start their 2019/20 commitments against Mġarr United on the second day. The senior women’s league will be played over three rounds, commencing on October 8. The Super Cup match between Birkirkara and Mġarr United is scheduled to take place in December. WOMEN’S U19 LEAGUE Eight teams have entered the 2019/20 Women’s U-19 League, won by Hibernians last season.
