UEFA Futsal Champions League Prel. Round Group F

Tromsøhallen Arena, Tromso, Norway

Luxol St Andrews (Malta)      5

FC Fiorentino (San Marino)   0

Maltese futsal champions Luxol St Andrews claimed the first three points in this UEFA Futsal Champions League Preliminary Round Group F after beating FC Fiorentino from San Marino 5-0.

Luxol enjoyed a lot of possession in the early stages of the game, creating countless chances but found the going tough as the opposing keeper was in good form to stop them from opening the scoring.

The deadlock was broken midway through the first half (10:18) following a blazing shot from the distance by Slovenian Dejan Bizjak.

Just one second before the interval, Everton Veve doubled the lead with a close-range shot.

One minute and sixteen seconds into the second period Maicon was first to pounce on a mistake at the back to make it three. A minute later (2:28) an unmarked Celino Alves poked home from close range.

Luxol completed the scoring with the fifth and final goal on 9:41 as Everton Veve found the net with a powerful low drive from inside the area.

On Thursday a more daunting task awaits Luxol as they take on Moldova champions Dinamo Chisinau in what could be defined as a decisive clash which could determine who progresses to the Main Round in October.
