Luxol St Andrews and Valletta consolidated their status as the leading two teams in the Elite Championship last weekend.

Kurt Bartolo and Mohammed Lamari were on target in the first half as Valletta beat Swieqi United 2-0.


Earlier in the week, leaders Luxol faced the University of Malta Futsal team, winning 10-1. Luxol talisman Celino Alves netted a hat-trick together with braces for Zvezdan Vukovic and Maicon Silva and a goal apiece for Mark Zammit, Marwan Telisi and Andy Mangion.


Denis Di Maio scored the consolation goal for the Universitarians.

In the Amateur League, Marsaskala Futsal gained three important points after beating Qormi 6-3.
Luxol Team B increased their lead at the top following a close 3-2 win against South Boys.
