Valletta Futsal cement second spot after thrilling draw

Valletta confirmed second place in the Elite Championship following an entertaining 4-4 draw with the University of Malta Futsal Team. George Frendo scored a brace for the Citizens with the other scorers being Jovica Milijic and Mohammed Lamari. Dylan Musu netted twice for UOM against his former side while Gabriel Buckson and Ervin Rigo were also on target for the Universitarians. CURRENT STANDINGSLuxol St Andrews Futsal 24; Valletta FC Futsal 16; University of Malta 7; Swieqi United FC Futsal 3. The 2019-20 Futsal League will resume on Friday 7th February 2020 as the Malta futsal team will be in action in the UEFA Futsal Euro 2022 qualifiers between January 29 and February 1, 2020. Malta will be hosting Group C’s qualifying tournament which also includes Poland, Sweden and Greece.CHRISTMAS CUPMeanwhile, Valletta and Luxol meet in the Christmas Cup fnal this evening (Wednesday) at the National Sport School’s Pavillio.
