Leaders Birkirkara face in-form Raiders Għargħur

After defeating Mosta last week, leaders Birkirkara return to action on Week 14 of the BOV Women’s League when they face Raiders Għargħur. Third-placed Swieqi United face Mosta after serving a bye. 


Birkirkara vs Raiders Għargħur (Tuesday – Dingli Ground, 20.15)

 

Defending champions Birkirkara will be looking to collect all three points against Raiders Għargħur as they bid to extend their lead to six points at the top of the championship.

 

Last week, Melania Bajada's team outclassed Mosta 9-0 to make it 74 goals in just 12 games, highlighting their offensive prowess. Forward Loza Abera scored hat-trick against the Blues as she leads the scorers list with 26 goals.

 

Raiders, on their part, will be striving to build on their recent performances as they are coming from a 4-1 victory over Kirkop United.

 

Rodianne Zerafa is their leading scorer with eightgoals as they sit fifth with 17 points.

 

Mosta vs Swieqi United (Tuesday – Mosta Ground, 20.15)

 

In the other game on Tuesday, Swieqi United face Mosta.

 

Following defeats against Birkirkara and Mġarr United, the Oranges need a win to get their league campaign back on track. Led by Keith Gouder, Swieqi are currently third with 25 points.

 

Mosta, on their part, lost their previous two games against Kirkop United and Birkirkara respectively.

 

They have eight points after 12 games so far.

 

Week 14 bye: Mġarr United.
