Team Malta win efootball friendlies against Portugal, Spain

The FIFA eNations Stay And Play friendlies brought the best out of Team Malta as Christian Spiteri and Dunstan Vella won their games against Portugal and Spain on Wednesday evening. In their opening efriendly on FIFA20, Spiteri defeated fellow gamer Diogo Mendes 5-1 while Hibernians FC and Malta midfielder Vella, who is also an avid FIFA20 player, had the better of Portugal and Wolves forward Diogo Jota 5-3 for a 10-4 aggregate win. The Spiteri-Vella tandem secured top spot in the group after overcoming Spain in their second friendly. Spiteri drew 2-2 with Jamie ‘Gravesen’ Alvarez and Vella sealed the win after beating Spain’s celebrity gamer Dj Mariio 1-0 for a 3-2 aggregate win. By winning the group, Team Malta have progressed to the knock-out phase of this friendly tournament which willl take place on Friday.
