Recognising the sterling work of Member Associations

To commemorate our 120th anniversary, the Malta Football Association has presented mementos to every Member Association by way of honouring their sterling contribution towards the development of football, especially at grassroots level. Bjorn Vassallo the Malta FA President, paid tribute to the Member Associations for their essential role in the collective mission to promote football across the country. “We are very appreciative of the work carried out by our Member Associations in promoting football across the country, especially at grassroots level,,” Vassallo said. “They are an integral part of the local football family as their efforts have a strong and positive impact on the community. They are certainly part of the Association’s 120-year history which is not just about the upper levels of Maltese football but also the dedicated work these persons do in the community thanks to their associations.” The associations affiliated with the Malta FA are: District Football Leagues (GIDA, SWAN and Veterans Malta FA), Industries Soccer Association, Inter Amateur Soccer Association, Malta Amateur Football Association, Masters Football, Gozo Youth FA, Youth FA, Malta Beach Soccer Association, Futsal Malta Association, Malta Football Coaches Association and Malta Football Referees Association.
