Malta will kick off their European Qualifying Group H campaign for the 2022 World Cup with a home match against Russia on 24 March, 2021. UEFA published the full fixture list this evening following yesterday’s draw in Zurich which pitted Malta in Group H along with Croatia, Slovakia, Russia, Slovenia and Cyprus. The home meeting with Russia precedes two away qualifiers – against Slovakia on 27 March and Croatia on the 30th. As May and June 2021 are reserved for friendlies and the EURO 2020 final tournament, the European qualifying campaign will then resume in September with another three matches. Malta take on Cyprus at the National Stadium on 1 September followed by another away double-header – against Slovenia on the 4th and Russia on the 7th. In October, Malta host Slovenia on the 8th before facing Cyprus away three days later. The final two Group H qualifiers for Malta will be at home with Devis Mangia’s team meeting Croatia on 11 November and Slovakia three days later. MALTA’S GROUP H SCHEDULE24/03/2021 (Wednesday): 20:45 Malta vs Russia27/03/2021 (Saturday): 20:45 Slovakia vs Malta30/03/2021 (Tuesday): 20:45 Croatia vs Malta01/09/2021 (Wednesday): 20:45 Malta vs Cyprus04/09/2021 (Saturday): 18:00 Slovenia vs Malta07/09/2021 (Tuesday): 20:45 Russia vs Malta08/10/2021 (Friday): 20:45 Malta vs Slovenia11/10/2021 (Monday): 20:45 Cyprus vs Malta11/11/2021 (Thursday): 20:45 Malta vs Croatia14/11/2021 (Sunday): 15:00 Malta vs Slovakia
