Malta looked a very organised outfit and made it eight consecutive positive result in friendlly matches when they drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland at the National Stadium in Ta' Qali. Though at times, N. Ireland saw most of the ball and tried to increase the pressure as the match matured, Malta kept their opponents at bay almost throughout the ninety minutes, limiting the damages to one single shot at goal and one series intervention by keeper A. Hogg. Our boys could have also won the game as they created a handful of chances, with the most sgnificant coming through Schembri, Sciberras and Mifsud.   National Team Coach Pietro Ghedin was a very happy man after the game commenting that this match showed the result of hard and serious work by all the members of the squad, emphasising that all his 25/30 players are very eager to wear the national team shirt and with pride. Malta's starting line-up was as A. Hogg, A. Muscat, A. Agius, L. Dimech, P. Fenech, C. Failla, G. Sciberras, E. Herrera, A. Cohen, A. Schembri and M. Mifsud
