Final event of 'PlayGreen' project held on Saturday

The Malta FA concluded formally its Playgreen project at the National Stadium on Saturday. 

The Playgreen project is an Erasmus+ project with 5 other partners and which is based primarily on environmental volunteering in sports and making sports events greener”.


The Multiplier event was also held in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and the Erasmus Students Network and had over 62 participants from various associations, agencies, NGOs and sports clubs.


They were given information about the project and its progress over the past 2 years as well as information on how the Malta FA will be engaging with them on green projects and environmentally sustainable sports events, not only football.


On behalf of the Malta FA, Peter Busuttil oversaw proceedings during this event that saw partiecipation of National Team players, both men and women, while Environment Minister Aaron Farrugia and Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organizations, Clifton Grima were also in attendance.


The Malta FA has over the past 2 years embarked on a number of Playgreen projects with Green team volunteers of all ages, and from all walks of life.
