First part of BOV Premier Division 2021/22 fixtures released

Today, the first part of the fixtures for the BOV Premier Division 2021/22 were released, with two full fixtures before the first international break. The league will be played out in two phases: - a Regular Season with 2 rounds;- a Final Round where the top six teams play once against each other (Top Six – Final Round) and the bottom six teams also play once against each other to avoid relegation (Play-Out – Final Round) Should any, or all of the three teams competing in the UEFA Europa Conference League (Hibernians, Gzira United and Birkirkara) qualify to play in the third round, their matches will be moved to Monday 16th August.The other fixtures, from Match Day 6, will follow in due course, in line with established policies and procedures tied to the Return to Play Protocol.Hereunder the tentative dates for the other matchdays of the First Round:• International Break - October• MD6 – 16 to 18th October• MD7 – 22 to 24th October• MD8 – 29 to 31st October• International Break - November• MD9 – 20th to 22nd November• MD10 – 26th to 28th November• MD11 – 3 to 5th DecemberA full list of fixtures of the first five match days can be found here:https://www.mfa.com.mt/en/leagues/leagues/103/bov-premier-league.htm?feature=fixturesA Press Conference will be held in due course wherein information will be provided on different aspects of the competition, including sporting and operational matters.
