Malta Football Association Statement

Reference is made to alleged racist remarks passed towards Santa Lucija goalkeeper Julani Archibald, as well as media statements issued by both clubs involved in yesterday’s BOV Premier League match between Santa Lucija FC and Floriana FC. The Malta FA reiterates that football must not be used by anyone to convey discriminatory messages whether based on race, gender or any other individual attribute.On the case in question, the Malta FA took note of official reports filed and will take appropriate disciplinary action if such allegations are proven.
