Local FIFA referees appointed for UEFA U17 Tournaments

Match Officials have been appointed to officiate at the UEFA U17 Championships Tournament – Group 7 – Qualifying Round to be held in Finland and Group 1 – Qualifying Round to be held in Malta respectively.


For the Finland tournament starting off on Thursday at the Stadium Vantaa, teams participating are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, Finland and Gibraltar.

 

In total eight FIFA Match Officials assigned by UEFA to officiate these matches including local FIFA badge referee Ishmael Barbara and Assistant Referee Roberto Vella.

 

Also Maltese officials entrusted for the similar UEFA U17 Championships Tournament hosted in Malta by the Malta Football Association at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Paola, with Turkey, Denmark, Montenegro and host country Malta as participating teams.

 

In total eight officials from various countries have been appointed to officiate in this Malta tournament including James Muscat tasked as Assistant Referee, and Darryl Agius appointed fourth official for this tournament.

 

The Malta Football Association augurs the best of luck to all four Maltese officials in this international experience over the coming days.
