‘I try to turn the page and focus on what we can manage’ said Head Coach National Teams Devis Mangia ahead of the match against Slovakia.  ‘We have to forget the last game, and we have forgotten and will now have to focus on the next match’ said Devis Mangia.

‘I respect the team and know how hard they worked.  I am responsible for the team.  I believe in the project and will be behind them always’ reiterated Devis Mangia.  Mr Mangia explained that the team is disappointed, however one cannot forget that these players are the same players that have reached the 5 point record.

Devis Mangia explained that Enrico Pepe is suspended and will miss this match whilst Juan Corbolan and Adam Magri Overend are surely out since they are injured.  Cain Formosa has joined the U21 football team.

‘We, as a team, had to adapt to the new technical plan.  I am engaged more in this new way of build up from the back’ said Malta goalkeeper Henry Bonello, joined his coach in the match day -1 press conference.   Henry Bonello said that this helps the team maintain possession of the ball.
