Malta FA displays banners during BOV Premier League matches to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine

During this weekend, before all matches from the BOV Premier League, teams joined together and held up a 'Football Unites and Supports' banner to join the rest of the world in showing solidarity with Ukraine and condemning the Russian invasion.The team captains wore an armband in the Ukrainian national colors (Blue and Yellow).This initiative is being cordinated by the Malta FA's Football Social Responsibility Department under the Inħobb il-Futbol Foundation.In the meantime, Valletta went a step further and for the first time in history, they switched their club colours to blue and yellow in a show of unity amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine. They also had their own banner which highlighted the words 'Peace not War'
